THE GREAT KALANCHOE GROW-OFF

The Kalanchoe plant is a hardy, succulent species that produces a plethora of small somatic embryoids. The diminutive plantlets may be stimulated to grow rapidly and produce attractive houseplants. The objectives of the Grow-off is to encourage you to pursue your botanical knowledge to ascertain those environmental conditions which promote the growth of plants, i.e. Kalanchoe. In summary - grow your plantlet the fastest and bestest. Participants may pick up a plantlet and register in lab. For this endeavor, the best-in-show, as judged (April 18th) by a panel of Graduate and Undergraduate assistants, will receive a certificate for lunch-for-two at Berret's Restaurant. We appreciate your interest and hope this optional project will also grow your Botanical interest.
